Fee Policy – 1st July 2024
Our doctors believe in providing the highest quality in patient care without compromise and as such Upper Beaconsfield General Practice is a private billing medical centre.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare provides you with rebates for consultations with your GP. Unfortunately, the costs of keeping our clinic running cannot be sustained by the rebate being offered by Medicare. Hence, we DON'T Bulk Bill on Saturdays and also, Bulk billing services will ONLY be applicable to Pensioners who hold a valid AGE or DSP Concession Card, DVA and children under 16 during regular hours. All other Pension and Health Care Card types will be billed privately at the Discount Rate at all time.

Additional Services
Additional fees of $25 will be charged for the use of our Treatment Room for procedures like cryotherapy, dressings, etc. These will be discussed with you prior to performing these additional services. Some of these services will not be claimable with Medicare. Skin checks & skin procedures are not bulk-billed. Please speak with reception for full details.
Payment for Services Rendered
We accept Cash, EFTPOS and credit card payments, and we are able to transfer your receipt electronically to Medicare and can process your rebate immediately back to your DEBIT CARD through our Easyclaim system.
Prescriptions
It is practice policy that an appointment (Face to face or Telehealth) is needed if you require a script as it is best to review your condition and health. These can be booked through Hotdoc subject to Eligibility.
Cancelling your Appointment
A $50 fee which Medicare will not provide a rebate for will be charged to patients who fail to cancel an appointment. Please ensure that you cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior to avoid paying this fee.
