What’s Included:
• Nurse Assessment: Your visit begins with our nurse, who will conduct an initial heart assessment, including a blood pressure check, review of your diet, cholesterol levels, and calculation of your cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk.
• GP Consultation: Following the nurse's assessment, you’ll see a GP who will evaluate your individual circumstances, check your heart, and arrange any necessary further investigations.
Cost: • $51 Out of Pocket: After a rebate of $85.06 on the total cost of $136. • Bulk Billed for Aged Pensioners and DSP Card Holders • $35 Out of Pocket for Other Pension Card Holders
Cholesterol Check Requirement:
A cholesterol check within the last year is required for the Heart Health Check. If you haven’t had one, you can walk in for a fasting blood test Monday-Friday from 08:30-13:00 or Saturday from 09:00-12:30. Please schedule your Heart Health Check at least 2 days after your blood test.
