Dr Puneet Malhotra is a highly experienced UK Trained Doctor with over 18 years of medical practice. He has worked in multiple specialities - Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Diabetes, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology before taking up GP training. With his vision to impove patient care, very soon, he progressed to become the Clinical Director in one of the busiest Hospitals of UK. With his leadership qualities, he set up a new Urgent Care Walk in Centre and took it to a very reputable level. In addition to this he was also working as the Clinical Director of Leicestershire GP After Hours services. He was very much involved in teaching of young GPs, GP Registrars, Nurse practitioners, Paramedic practitioners and medical students.
In addition to his Membership of Royal College of General Practitoners, UK (MRCGP) and Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), he has also obtained a Diploma in sexual and reproductive health (DFSRH), Diploma in Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecology (DRCOG) & Post graduate diploma in Healthcare Leadership (PG Dip HCL).
Despite his busy schedule, he continued to work as a GP in a city practice in Leicester, UK where he kept patient care at the heart of the consultations.
He has special interest in Skin checks, Skin cancer surgeries, Emergency care, chronic disease management, women’s health including Sub-dermal contraceptive implant (Implanon), IUD (Copper and Mirena), minor surgeries. He is an accredited Hepatitis B & C treatment prescriber.
In addition to his clinical role, at present, he also holds an honorary Clinical fellow post in University of Melbourne and teaches medical students in his clinic. He is also an examiner for GP Registrars for their RACGP fellowship examination in Melbourne University.
